of America is fat. An average executive get’s his productivity from 30 minutes of an 8 hour day, and he get’s
interrupted every 8 minutes. American are working 170 hours more per year, and we come in last on the pla net for
taking time off. The American Business person is working harder, but making very little meaningful progress.
Spiritual, Physical, and Emotional famine are loosing at the face of all the technology that moves our ambition
adversarial to our values.
The freedom that entrepreneurs fired their boss to get isn’t happening. Their businesses are making them prisoners
of their own machine, causing reactionary interferences and tensions between their work and personal lives. Instead
of things happening by plans, decisions and actions are shaped by circumstances. More and more stuff and
complexity is encumbering the American entrepreneur in the Information Age, so much that his confidence has turned
to doubt. Either he can’t get to anything of real value, or just the converse, so much thrill of opportunity, so much is
overwhelming all at once, there’s no time to think or plan. This is when the spirit begins to fade, and frustration sets in.
